The Official Test Centre (OTC)

Running a centre in one of Europe's premier windsurfing locations (the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) - the host of the sailing and windsurfing classes for the 2012 Games) we house all the major windsurfing brands under one roof, making it the only centre in the world that consumers can test and compare the latest products on the market for themselves. As a result, The OTC is in a unique position to support every facet of the sport, from the consumers to the retailers and magazines, and even the brands themselves.

Profound impact of meeting your hero! Inspiring the next generation British Sailing Team Emma Wilson Windsurfing!

Today a little girl called Dolcie, aged 9, who is on The OTC well-being windsurfing session met double medal Olympian windsurfer Emma Wilson. Emma is giving so much hope and self belief to the young people she meets using her success to make life changing differences.

After hearing from Emma that she was 9 years old when she started windsurfing, Dolcie wants to become a professional windsurfer and an Olympian. What an incredible opportunity for Emma to use her success for the power of good.

Dolcie grinning and excited describes the moment she met Emma and how awe-inspiring that meeting has been for her, she said: “I was nervous a bit but meeting Emma has made me want to be like her. I really enjoy windsurfing. Makes me feel calm and it’s the one thing I wanted to learn. Emma has inspired me to do it. I want to win a medal like her and show it off to other kids. I want to go to other countries and inspire other kids and be like Emma.

I want to work at The Official Test Centre (OTC) when I am older everyone is friendly and I can windsurf at work. I love being here.”

Thanks to the generous funding of the Will Houghton Foundation and the Will Mackaness Trust, youngsters like Dolcie have the opportunity to meet an Olympian and become inspired!

💥 YOUTH HALF TERM CAMPS 💥

This October half term here at The Official Test Centre (OTC) we will be running youth camps in both windsurfing and winging.

📍The OTC, Portland, DT5 1SA.
🗓️ 28th October - 1st November.
⏰ 10:00 - 16:00 each day.

Requirements:
Participants must already be windsurfing or winging. This maybe with their local club, on holidays or with school.

What’s on?
The week will be designed to have varying different levels of progression sessions running in each activity. Allowing youngsters to learn at their own pace, towards their specific goals.

⭐️£80 per day.
⭐️All equipment provided.
⭐️RYA Qualified tuition.
⭐️Video feedback.
⭐️Photo Dropbox.

Please note: Lunch is not provided, please pack your youngsters with fluids, foods/money and plenty of warm clothing.
