The Official Test Centre (OTC)

Running a centre in one of Europe's premier windsurfing locations (the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (WPNSA) - the host of the sailing and windsurfing classes for the 2012 Games) we house all the major windsurfing brands under one roof, making it the only centre in the world that consumers can test and compare the latest products on the market for themselves. As a result, The OTC is in a unique position to support every facet of the sport, from the consumers to the retailers and magazines, and even the brands themselves.

🌊 ARE YOU READY TO TAKE ON THE PORTLAND HARBOUR DASH? 🌊

One beach. An unforgettable race across Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour.

The legendary Portland Harbour Dash returns on Saturday 17 or Sunday 18 October 2026, depending on the weather — bringing together windsurfers, wind foilers and wing foilers for an exciting coastal challenge.

Organised by The Official Test Centre (OTC) competitors will launch from Overcombe Beach with a dramatic Le Mans-style start before racing through Portland Harbour’s North Shipping Channel, out through the East Ship Channel and back to Overcombe.

The start and finish line will be positioned upwind of Overcombe, closer to Weymouth, avoiding any issues with the reef.

💚 The event will once again raise funds for the Will Houghton Foundation, supporting UK charities that help young people aged 14 to 24 fulfil their potential through sport and education.

Think you’re ready to take on the Dash?
